Early American PG Pitcher in Barberry Pattern
|
This frosted pitcher is an Early American Pattern Glass piece in the Barberry pattern. It was also known as Pepperberry. Barberry shrub grew along the seashore so that is the reason for the scrolls near the base. My resources indicate that it was probably made in one of the glass factories near Fostoria, Ohio. It stands 8-1/4" high and has a nice ring to it when it is thumped. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Please note: the pinkish tinge you see in the picture is from the camera. The pitcher is nice and clear. I am asking $50.00 plus shipping and insurance.
